With its glorious natural scenery, excellent climate, welcoming culture and excellent standards of living, Greece is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most desirable places across the world to live or visit. On offer here is a chance to make a smart financial investment in this magnificent part of the world. The detached property is on the island of Zakynthos or Zante near to the resorts of Alykes and Alykanas. It is a 20 minute car journey to the airport. The house is situated above the village of Katastari which is about 8 minutes drive to Alykes beach. There is a tarmac road all the way to the house. There are lovely views across the sea at the front (you can see Kephalonia to the left and Tsilivi to the right)and views of the mountains behind. The area is very peaceful and quiet but not lonely. There are large tiled outdoor areas for sitting and entertaining. A garage is underneath the property where the central heating oil tank is situated. Plenty of parking on the small hill to the right of the house or directly to side. Balcony doors all round except kitchen and main bathroom. There is a small garden at the front of the property and a larger one behind and below the level of the house. The house is all air conditioned and has Wi-Fi and a cable dish. The kitchen/diner is large with a lounge off this area with sliding doors to close off. There are two large bedrooms, a fully fitted bathroom and another washroom/laundry area. The house is currently single floor but has planning permission to build upstairs. If you go on the roof, the views are 360 degrees and are amazing! In the village of Katastari there is a bakery, small supermarket, post office, kiosk, primary school and beautiful church. The house is very well built and is earthquake proof as steel rods have been sunk into the solid rock underneath the foundations (this was very expensive).
