The National Bank of Greece “opened the curtain” property for sale in Greece for debts. Of the Greek real estate for sale there are 131 objects: 61 apartments, 37 country houses, 8 shops and offices, 11 plots of land.
Most of the buying property in Greece is located in Attica (32), while the property for sale in Greece is only 5 objects in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki. The National Bank will sell 12 cottages, 6 apartments and 5 plots located in this prefecture.
Closed applications will be submitted to the local branches designated by the National Bank, from October 30 to November 8.
October 31 and November 1, a subsidiary of the National Bank of Greece, Probank-leasing, will auction / close tenders of 15 commercial buildings (hotels, shops, offices, warehouses, industrial buildings) for which it intends to receive an amount of 22.9 million euros.
Faced with numerous protests on the property for sale in Greece for debts to the state and banks on Internet auctions, the Greek Ministry of Finance is preparing a new law that will open the way for this procedure.
The Greek Ministry of Finance, as well as Greek banks, once again faced the problem of legality buying property in Greece for debts. The first failure was direct auctions, which the owners of the property simply blocked, not allowing the auction to occur.
The same failure was overtaken by the recently opened online auction. Advocates of debtors, having found vulnerabilities in the law, protested the process of online auctions and stopped all related procedures.
To solve the problem, the Greek Ministry of Finance planned by August of this year to submit to the parliament a law on Internet auctions.
The solution of this problem with the reduction of arrears was stipulated in one of the points of the recently adopted 4th memorandum, signed by the Greek governments to creditors.
As we reported earlier, as of April 2017, the total debt of Greek real estate for sale of individuals and organizations to banks is in the amount of 103 billion euros. For Greek island property for sale the situation is complicated by the same factors.
Part of them, as planned in the law Katseli can be written off, but nevertheless, there are still at least 30.8 billion euros, which can not be written off in any way.
