VILLA GAIA
This private villa will be built on 4000sqm land. The villa commands astounding views of the sea.
Villa Gaia designed by architect Lucy Lago. Area of villa is 200 m2. Villa consists by living area, kitchen, dining area, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, wc and storage. Outdoors areas consists by sitting area, open kitchen area, large swimming pool, jacuzzi, decorative water areas. Two bedrooms have water areas in front of the doors. The center of composition is the sculpture Gaia, the EGG, which represents the beginning of everything.
Project has nature-inspired palette.
The materials are rooted in tradition:patinaed copper, tumbled marble, brass, glass, onyx, ebonized wood, plaster.
The construction characteristics: reinforced concrete, central heating/cooling, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, smart control system.
Villa Gaia is perched on top of high hill. The villa is designed as a warm pink orthogonal shape, seemingly in harmony with the rolling green hills with olive groves and organic agriculture of Zakynthos island. Located in Keri area, the villa boasts unobstructed, 180° sea views, with the islands of Marathia and Peluzo visible in the distance.
Villa Gaia designed by taking into account the climate, the trajectory of the sun, and the prevailing wind direction and combining it with the beauty
of the landscape and earthquake-proof building. The architect focused emphatically on the human scale: from the design of the landscape to the articulation
of the building, from the spaciousness of the interior to the smallest detail of the material. The pool is 18m*5m and 1,60 m deep. The pool area includes sun beds.
It is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the sea, garden or mountain view with a cocktail drink in hand.
Milky pink colors, sand shades and textures. Olive palette is in furniture and general mood. The sculpture is as a dominant of composition.Villa consists a sequence of places: a place to sit in the calm of the morning looking at the sunrise, a place to gather with the whole family for lunch in the coolness of the shade and wind, a place to contemplate under the protection of a hundred-year-old olive tree, a place to drink a glass of wine at the end of the day with friends overlooking the landscape of Lagana’s gulf.
